WyoPanama 3.0 deadlines and information
IMPORTANT DEADLINES
COURSE COSTS
Cost is estimated at ~$3200 per student and includes food, lodging, and transportation (including flights and in-country travel). The one unknown is what flights may cost by the time they are actually purchased. Students may wish to purchase some food for themselves for occasional meals (in which case the total food cost may be reduced slightly). See Grants below for offsetting costs. Students will also be responsible for costs of obtaining a passport and any basic field gear (see General Field Gear) as well as one ~$10 book. Transportation to the Denver airport (our required departure point) as well as food and drink in the airport will also be the responsibility of the student. GRANTS Students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and sophomore standing at the time of travel will be eligible to apply for the “Dick and Lynne Cheney Study-Abroad Grants Faculty-Directed Programs” scholarship. Scholarship awards will be $600, with an additional $200 given to students with a high unmet financial need (based on a filed FAFSA) and students with registered disabilities. Firm grant application deadlines are November 15th for J-Term programs, and March 15th for summer programs. The only scholarship available from Education Abroad for short-term faculty-directed programs is the Dick and Lynne Cheney Study-Abroad Grants Faculty-Directed Programs. Students can find the scholarship application on WyoScholarships at https://uwyo.academicworks.com/opportunities/27067. |
